Northern Lights In New York Possible In Wake Of Historic ‘Halo’ On The Sun

A once-in-a-decade “halo” event on the Sun’s far side earlier this week could mean the Northern Lights being visible extending further south of the Arctic Circle than normal—and perhaps as far south as New York.
