The police have a knack of pushing everyone's buttons, especially when things don't go their way. Some cops try to be bullies and push people around in order to manipulate situations, bending the law to the whims of their agenda. However, there are good folks that will stand their ground to protect their own against cops. One man, a principal of a high school, recently stood up to the 5-0 in an epic way, backing up one of his students and upholding school policy to protect one of his own. First the cops roll up with the classic heavy hand of the law. They tried to force their way into school grounds to track down a minor who was wanted for questioning in connection with a shooting. Because the kid was only wanted for questioning and wasn't an actual suspect, they had no warrant and therefore no authority to charge into this boy's classroom unannounced. So when they confronted the principal of the school to find the boy's class schedule, he politely tried to turn them away, saying it was against policy to let policemen barge into children's classes. The police had their feathers ruffled by the noncompliance of the principal. In an attempt to fluster him and make him change policies on the spot to suit their needs, one of the officers aggressively tries to drag the principal's children in the mix."So if he shot at your kids you'd have the same policy?"Because the cops escalated the situation and made things personal, the principal digs his heels in even more and refuses to continue to speak to the bully police, repeating their school policy and advising that they make other arrangements to speak with their witness that don't involve trespassing on school property.
