This gym-goer had simply had enough of another person being loud and disruptive in their gym's athletic classes. They were pushed to limits that they claim they normally wouldn't go to and told the disruptive person to shut up. Now they're wondering if they're wrong for their outburst. It's generally pretty shocking when someone displays a complete lack of self-awareness and care for the people around them; playing loud music on public transportation (or in any public space) and generally being loud and making a scene are two antisocial behaviors that come to mind. These disruptive behaviors are especially grating when they are displayed during times or at places when other people are trying to focus on something or have specifically there to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. We really need to make these idiots understand that the world doesn't revolve around them and that their need for attention and validation is not more important than everyone else's experience. To summarize, here's a quick list of things you're doing that make other people wish you'd spontaneously combust:Playing music at a beach, while hiking, or in any public space.Making unnecessary noise at the gym.Talking or doing anything to disrupt a movie or performance at a theater.Making repetitive, constant, or noise that is audible to your neighbors, especially at early or late hours. I'm sure there's more to be added here. What disruptive, noisy behavior grates your last nerve?
