This worker shared a lengthy exchange that occurred between themselves and their boss over availability to cover shifts for an already published roster. Things started off rocky, with the boss sending passive-aggressive and immature responses to the young worker's level-headed reasoning. It wasn't long before the conversation escalated into threats of termination. The fact that the worker appears to be a minor makes the conversation that much worse; the fact that the boss's lack of maturity is what shines through in the conversation says a lot more with that context.Honestly, how good would it be for the worker to turn up to their next rostered shift as if nothing had happened? This would show the boss that their little power trip response of "accepting termination"—just because the worker stood their ground—holds no power, shoving it right in the boss's face about how weak and powerless they really are. Then if the boss doubles down at that point, HR will be on its knees trying to stop a lawsuit. Also, who taught this grown-ass adult how to text? Anyways, keep reading for the screenshots of this lengthy and juicy exchange of messages with reactions following.
