Ford to cut 1,300 UK jobs to slash costs and accelerate its switch to electric vehicle production 

The American carmaker is shifting to a 'smaller, more focused' range of electric cars in Europe - and cutting 3,800 jobs across the continent. Of these, 1,300 will be in the UK.
