Netflix dropped its 2023 film lineup with release dates on Wednesday, with a rather dramatic trailer.Black-ish creator Kenya Barris' feature directorial debut You People will land Jan. 27 starring Eddie Murphy, Nia Long, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, David Duchovny, Lauren London, and Jonah Hill, who co-wrote the script.Biopics are top of the crop this year. Regina King leads Shirley, the anticipated biopic on Shirley Chisholm, the first Black Congresswoman and the first Black woman to run for U.S. president, in 12 Years a Slave screenwriter John Ridley's directorial debut. And in Rustin from Ma Rainey's Black Bottom's George C. Wolfe, Colman Domingo takes on the role of civil rights and gay rights activist Bayard Rustin. Meanwhile, Bradley Cooper directs and stars in Maestro, the biopic on composer Leonard Bernstein.Comedy-wise, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend co-creator and The Devil Wears Prada writer Aline Brosh McKenna throws Reese Witherspoon and Ashton Kutcher together in house-swap comedy Your Place Or Mine, out Feb. 10. Adam Sandler and Jennifer Anniston's whodunnit comedy Murder Mystery is back with a sequel, and Happy Death Day's Christopher Landon makes a poltergeist of David Harbour in We Have a Ghost.
