Fraudster NYU director embezzled $3.5million in grants and splashed the cash on herself

Cindy Tappe, 57, pleaded not guilty in Manhattan Supreme Court on Monday to six counts of fraud. She is accused of taking money from N.Y.U. that was designed to help minority-owned business.
