Cubs Pay Heavily To Land Their Shortstop, Dansby Swanson

The Cubs may not be relevant next September but at least their fans will know they’re trying. They are signing free agent shortstop Dansby Swanson to a seven-year, $177 million contract. It's the biggest deal they've given a player since Jason Heyward's eight-year, $184 million contract.
