Wage you need to earn to be considered a 'typical' Australian in latest ABS figures

An Australian earning $65,000 a year would be a middle-income earner in NSW or Victoria, in the top half in Queensland, South Australia and Tasmania, but poor in Canberra, the NT and Western Australia.
