Throughout the shale boom in Argentina’s Vaca Muerta, the Neuquén provincial government leadership has served as a familiar and reliable partner for the oil & natural gas industry. This status quo could though be disrupted in the 2023 gubernatorial election due to a splintering of the governing MPN.
