Young people are shunning Christmas carols for more modern festive songs, survey shows

46 per cent of 18 to 29-year-olds have never sung a traditional carol such as O Come, O Come Emmanuel. They prefer a festive pop song such as Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas Is You.
