Tony La Russa was one of baseball's highest paid managers in his two seasons with the White Sox. He resigned Monday, citing health reasons. Two other highly paid managers, Joe Maddon (Angels) and Joe Girardi (Phillies), were fired this season. MLB pays managers less than it did a decade ago.
