The line between toxic workplace and toxic family dynamic is as thin as can be in this story! This thread was posted to Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit by u/MrsStewart21368, who shared a story about having to intervene between her 23-year-old daughter and her husband over where she wanted to work. Apparently, her husband's workplace has a toxic, misogynistic culture. That's how the daughter felt every time she visited the office, so she decided that she didn't want to work for her stepdad and especially in a place like that. Makes sense. The story should be over now, right? Wrong! The daughter had an exciting opportunity lined up at a prestigious company but later called her mom crying because her stepdad straight up logged into his stepdaughter's email and canceled the interview. That is psycho-level manipulation! The kind of thing you see in a creepy movie about a controlling father figure? Wait a minute… We've seen plenty of instances of family drama recently. Take a look at this post about a woman who called her Mom out on being a sugar baby, and keep scrolling below for the full story and the best comments!
