Registry Date Reform In U.S. Congress Could Impact Over 8 Million Immigrants

The Renewing Immigration Provisions of the Immigration Act was introduced in the Senate by Senators Dick Durbin and Alex Padilla. The act proposes to change the registry date which would help some 8 million immigrants obtain permanent resident status. Is there enough time to pass the measure?
