The 2022 TMRC gave some HDD insights. For about 6 years HDD areal density hasn’t increased much above 1 Tbpsi. The current ASRC roadmap projects about a 22% CAGR in areal density out to 2034. We hope that higher disk capacities will be achieved in the next generation of HDDs.
