Lawmakers in Georgia, Mississippi, Iowa, and Arizona passed bills in 2021 and 2022 to move to a flat tax. On September 1, Idaho lawmakers passed a tax cut proposed by Governor Brad Little that will make Idaho the next flat tax state. North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum is now looking to follow suit.
