Bodega clerk who was charged with murder after stabbing attacker has quit his job, fled upstate

Jose Alba, 61, has quit his job at the Manhattan bodega and has retreated to upstate New York in fear of his life, the president of the bodega association said. Alba is considering leaving New York for good.
