Rescued Cat Whose Elderly Owners Couldn't Take Care Of Anymore Is Looking For His Furrever Home

Cat owners have a tendency to name their feline friends after their favorite cartoon characters, vegetables, random objects, and even movie stars. Yet sometimes, these names aren't at all accurate representations of the cats themselves.In June 2022, a five-year-old orange tabby cat was taken into the Winchester SPCA as an owner surrender. The stout male was healthy, well cared for, and loved, but his elderly owners decided they couldn't give their big buddy the life he deserved.Nolan, as he's called now, originally came into the shelter with the name "Jaws," presumably an homage to the 1970s American thriller. However, since this cat is not like the movie's namesake great white shark whatsoever, the situation warranted a name change.
