Average house price jumped £32,000 in last year with typical house now costing £283,000

Average house prices increased over the year in England to £302,000 (a 13.1 per cent annual increase), in Wales to £212,000 (14.4 per cent), in Scotland to £188,000 (11.2 per cent).
