The roasty toasty slightly smoky mezcal is bold enough to stand up to all the tangy acidic ingredients in a Bloody Mary but not so strong that it overwhelms it. One sip and I was amazed at how seamlessly the mezcal integrated into the drink in a way that vodka seldom does.
