(May 06 00:00) I Can Has Cheezburger?
It's always heartbreaking to hear stories of abandoned senior cats. They live their entire lives at home with hoomans and then one day, they're suddenly dumped on the streets. They're forced into a life of vicious survival and quickly go from having the comfort of a warm cozy bed (or box) to a cold and wet alley. Consequently, many feral felines become incredibly insecure when it comes to food. Because their supplies are scarce (or non-existent), they never know when they'll have their next meal or whether they'll have one at all. That's what happened with Ginny, a 13-year-old cat. Before she was adopted into her forever home, Ginny lived a difficult life full of isolation and neglect. Ginny first met her hoomans on December 26, 2020 when her previous owner was sick in the hospital. The hoomans visited Ginny for several months before adopting her in April of 2021. Ginny's hoomans quickly realized that she was scared to eat alone and would even sometimes refuse to eat if she wasn't being petted. But as time has gone by, Ginny's hoomans have done an amazing job at making her feel safe and out of harm's way.
