The ASPCA estimates there are tens of millions of feral and stray cats roaming neighborhoods and wooded areas throughout the United States. Many of these cats avoid people; however, some friendly felines yearn for human interaction and a chance to have a warm cardboard box by the window to sit in. Still, others seek to become fully-fledged members of families full of playmates.On April 4, Muffin arrived at the Hanover County Animal Control (HCAC) after being caught as a stray by a Mechanicsville, Virginia, citizen. The grey and white domestic long-hair was given a good bill of health by staff as there were no signs of injury, malnutrition, or neglect.
