Beijing shuts train stations and opens mass isolation centre amid fears of Shanghai-style lockdown

Beijing shut more than 60 subway stations - about 15 per cent of the network - and 158 bus routes in its campaign to stop the spread of Covid and avoid the fate of Shanghai which is in lockdown.
