Dogs are our best friends, there's no question about it. Whatever the breed, whatever the size, dogs are just like people– they're inherently good, and pure, and with the right training they can become the greatest companions. And that's not to say cats aren't amazing. That's not to say that I haven't met a pet ferret or two that I was quite fond of. But, the old adage says that dogs are man's best friend, and I'm inclined to believe that. Plus, when it comes to the family dynamic, dogs are the perfect addition. That's because, as we all probably know, dogs are social animals, descended from wolves. Whether you realize it or not, your dog's natural genetic instincts are telling them to protect your family, just like a wolf in the wild has to protect their pack. This is especially true when it comes to babies and little kids. In a pack, the strong have to protect the weak, and the adults have to protect the puppies most of all. Our dogs can easily sense the size differences and power dynamics that make a toddler more susceptible to injury or harm than an adult, and they act accordingly. It's the sweetest thing to see, and it's even better when a family has a giant dog to juxtapose against a teensy tiny baby. That's why we took a look around the internet and compiled ten of the most unbelievably adorable big dogs hanging out with ten of their littlest human friends.
