Sweden saw lower increase in deaths during 2020 than most of Europe

The Nordic country had 7.7 per cent more deaths than usual, a figure comparing favourably with Spain (18.1 per cent) and Belgium (16.2 per cent) which have both imposed strict lockdowns.
