Republican Senator Blocks Bill To Protect $1,400 Stimulus Checks From Debt Collectors

Senator Pat Toomey blocked a proposed amendment that would close a loophole in the latest Covid-relief stimulus package. The amendment would have prevented private debt collectors from garnishing $1,400 stimulus checks.
