DARPA’s New Energy-Harvesting Manta Ray Is A Submarine Like No Other

Last week DARPA awarded contracts for prototypes of their new Manta Ray unmanned underwater vehicle. This harvests power from the environment, allowing it carry out missions lasting months or years without refueling, or deliver payloads anywhere in the world.
