Market Update: Singapore shares close trading week flat

Major stocks across the Asian region traded mixed, as most indices were heavily driven by the property and commodity sectors - much more than tech or manufacturing. About 1.77-billion securities worth S$1.15-billion changed hands with advancers outnumbering decliners, 244 to 204. Top performers were Thai Beverage with 3.15% or a S$0.025 gain, Creative Technology jumped by 5.18% or S$0.13, and Haw Par Corporation which went up by S$0.22 or 1.93%. read more
