Jeff Bezos to step down as Amazon CEO

Jeff Bezos will soon be gone, but definitely not forgotten.  The Amazon CEO announced Tuesday that he intends to step down, and instead serve as the Executive Chair of the Amazon Board. In a letter addressed to Amazon employees, he wrote that Andy Jassy will take over in Bezos' former role.    "As Exec Chair I will stay engaged in important Amazon initiatives but also have the time and energy I need to focus on the Day 1 Fund, the Bezos Earth Fund, Blue Origin, The Washington Post, and my other passions," wrote the soon-to-be-former CEO.
