In A Familiar-Sounding Story, Samsung Heir Lee Jae-Yong Was Sent To Prison For Bribing The Former President Of South Korea

Lee was first convicted back in 2017. He was given a sentence of five years in prison for his participation in the bribery case. Lee served time, but an appeals court suspended his sentence. South Korea’s Supreme Court later demanded a retrial on the initial charges.
