Retail sales down 1.9% in November 2020

Retail sales dipped 1.9% YoY in November 2020, an improvement over the 8.5% YoY decline recorded in October 2020, according to the Department of Statistics (SingStat). Excluding motor vehicles, retail sales fell 2.9%. The small YoY decline in the month was mainly attributed to the multiple sales events such as Singles’ Day (11.11) and Black Friday, as well as from new mobile phone launches. read more
