Rick Pitino Calls For ‘May Madness,’ Says It’s ‘Impossible’ To Start College Basketball Season Now

With Iona College one of several college basketball programs that have had to pause activities due to a positive COVID test, coach Rick Pitino is arguing it’s “impossible” to start the season on Nov. 25 as planned and is calling for a delayed start to the season followed by “May Madness.”
