Shop closures in UK 'reach record high after net decline of 6,000 stores in first half of year'

The net 6,000 figure, from a PwC and Local Data Company study, is from the closure of 11,000 chain operator outlets in the first six months of 2020, compared to the 5,000 shops which opened.
