Tumblr Thread Imagines Legendary Phoenix As Various Birds

The legendary phoenix. No one has ever obviously seen one so it's up to our imaginations as to how they would look. I don't know about you, but I often imagine the phoenix as a peacock, but without the explosion of colorful feathers, and redder. Oh, and on fire. Maybe that's only due to Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Who knows. One thing we do know is that being on fire seems to be a common denominator for a majority of these hilarious re-imagined birds as a phoenix. When an anonymous Tumblr user asked the question, "Fawkes the Phoenix was based on a harpy eagle, how cute would a kestrel phoenix be with a peacock tail and train?"
