Two droplets coalesced in a microscopic video. The impact could be huge for the future of sustainable living.

Kazi Fazle Rabbi and Dr. Xiao Yan are researchers in the Energy Transport Research Lab at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, as well as this year's winners of the Nikon's Small World in Motion competition.  Their microscopic video shows two droplets (made from 80 percent water and 20 percent ethanol) coming together to form one.
