SBS Transit bus captain attacked after asking commuter to wear face mask in latest such incident

An SBS Transit bus captain was physically and verbally assaulted on Tuesday (15 September) afternoon by a commuter after telling him to put on his mask during his journey, the latest in a string of such incidents, said the public transport operator. The 12-minute assault, which happened at about 2.45pm on Tuesday, involved a male commuter who boarded Service 21 along Pasir Ris Drive 6, said SBS Transit. “He then started to hurl vulgarities at our bus captain and this continued all the way for two more bus stops,” SBS Transit added.
