The Straits Times Index ended 44.91 or 1.78% lower at 2,484.91. The top active stocks were Medtecs International, which jumped 12.22%, DBS, which fell 1.62%, Singtel, which slipped 1.21%, UOB, which dropped 1.65%, and OCBC Bank with a 0.47% contraction. The FTSE Mid Cap edged down 1.08%, whilst the FTSE Small Cap slid 0.36%.
