The Straits Times Index (STI) ended 32.77 or 1.28% higher at 2,595.97. The top active stocks were Medtecs International, which jumped 10.64%, DBS, which advanced 1.95%, Singtel, which rose 1.68%, OCBC Bank, which increased 1.24%, and UOB with a 0.96% expansion. The FTSE Mid Cap edged up 1.23%, whilst the FTSE Small Cap grew 0.64%.
