Shark Week starts this weekend — watch it in HDR

If anything can get the serial social distancing streamers to pause Netflix and Hulu for a damn second, it's Shark Week. The Discovery Channel's iconic summer tradition (now in its 32nd year) starts on Sunday, Aug. 9 and runs until Sunday, Aug. 18. The lineup celebrates the 20th anniversary of Air Jaws as well as the premiere of Tiger Shark King and Abandoned Waters, a special about how sharks are experiencing their real natural habitat now that human interaction has declined due to COVID-19.
