Royal Mint ditched plans for a coin to mark legalisation of gay sex as it 'lacked public appeal'

The Royal Mint considered celebrating the landmark Sexual Offences Act 1967, which legalised homosexuality, but it was revealed officials did not feel creating a coin would be 'commercially viable'.
