British-American explorer, 55, becomes first woman to scale Earth's highest and lowest points

Vanessa O'Brien travelled via a submersible to Earth's lowest point, the bottom of the Challenger Deep, on June 12 (pictured). This comes after she scaled the peak of Mount Everest in 2012.
