This past April, Canadian marijuana firm Canopy Growth Corp announced it had acquired the right to buy U.S. cannabis operator Acreage Holdings Inc for $3.4 billion; however, the transaction is contingent on when the U.S. legalizes cannabis. Yesterday, shareholders voted in favor of it.
