SIA led the gains amongst top active stocks with a 1.96% expansion.
The Straits Times Index ended 19.39 or 0.75% lower at 2,561.94.
The top active stocks were SIA, which increased 1.96%, Singtel, which edged up 0.38%, OCBC Bank, which dipped 0.34%, DBS, which slipped 0.26%, and UOB with a 0.46% contraction.
The FTSE Mid Cap inched up 0.17%, whilst the FTSE Small climbed 0.19%.
