SIA saw the sharpest decline amongst top active stocks with a 3.51% contraction.
The Straits Times Index ended 19.39 or 0.75% lower at 2,561.94.
The top active stocks were DBS, which edged down 0.56%, SIA, which fell 3.51%, OCBC Bank, which dipped 0.89%, Singtel, which slipped 1.11%, and ComfortDelGro with a 0.64% contraction.
The FTSE Mid Cap inched up 0.12%, whilst the FTSE Small increased 0.13%.
