This political thriller brings murder to the Moon

I’ve always found Kim Stanley Robinson’s futures intriguing. In recent years, he’s published some of my favorite science fiction novels: New York 2140, about a water-logged New York City contending with climate change, and Aurora, which follows the crew of a generation ship looking to expand humanity’s presence in the cosmos. This month, he’s back with a new novel called Red Moon, and we have an excerpt for you to read. Set in 2047, the US and China have returned to the Moon, establishing permanent settlements on its surface.
