11 defective trains repaired and returned to Singapore

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) said 11 of 13 defective trains that have been shipped back to China are now repaired and returned to Singapore. Ten are put into passenger service, whilst the 11th train is still undergoing testing. Together with SMRT, LTA has been closely monitoring the condition of these trains, and there have been no defects detected since, it said in a statement. read more
