Asus' 4K HDR 144Hz G-Sync monitor is shipping next month for $2,000

Acer started taking orders for the first 4K HDR 144Hz G-Sync monitor last week, and now Taiwanese compatriot Asus has a product offering that same enticing combination of specs. The PG27UQ is another 27-inch IPS panel, and Asus says it's the first monitor to offer DisplayHDR 1000 certification, though Acer's Predator X27 also goes up to 1,000 nits. Until now, PC owners have had to choose between resolution or refresh rate when picking a gaming monitor. (I myself picked the latter a while back when I bought Asus' 1440p 165Hz PG279Q, since the 4K equivalent only went up to 60Hz.)
