Jake Gyllenhaal paused his play to help an audience member because he's literally the best

If for some ridiculous reason you needed further proof that Jake Gyllenhaal is pretty much a perfect human being, then look no further. During an appearance on The Tonight Show, Gyllenhaal spoke to Fallon about Sea Wall/A Life — the play he's currently starring in at The Public Theater in New York. And from the sounds of it, even being immersed in a lengthy monologue doesn't deter him from helping a stranger. "The other day a woman was coughing, like really, really loudly," Gyllenhaal says in the clip above. "And I felt so bad for her."
