Long averse to starting a production company of his own in New York or L.A., Daniels has teamed with fellow Michiganians Timothy Busfield and Melissa Gilbert to launch small-scale projects in the state. The studio's debut film, 'Guest Artist,' was written by Daniels as a play in 2006.
